Just waiting for a few other bits to come then I will see about getting them fitted.

Also I did stage 2 of my strut top cap painting, applied the gloss black paint.

Think I will give them a thin covering of lacquer to help give them abit more protection from the elements.

hi guys new to this,
i seen how in your fotos you have twin back pipes is that a full exhaust system?

also i have noticed there is alot of contraversy as to what mk each ibiza is.. is the 99-02 a mk2 facelift or a mk3 and does the mk2 exxhaust fit the 99-02 as my 1.4 8v exhaust is falling to pieces..

i would very much appreciate any hlp that you can offer

The twin pipe exhaust one the car is one from a Mk3 20v T. Its a very common one that is fitted to the mk2 Ibiza. Although I have the full 20v T system from cat-back and it gives off a very good sound.

the 93-99 is a mk2 Ibiza, although there were 3 different, there was the pre-facelift that was froi 93-95/96ish, there was a mid-facelift that was only produced for a short time around 96 then there is the post facelift which was 96-99. The years 99-02 is the Mk3 Ibiza years.

Thanks mate, may have one or 2 more things to do.
Ive been on holiday already, was away for the 12th-19th of May. Inters was too soon after or I would of been there with all the other mk2's and I was really needing tyres etc.

Brakes are currently going on, car is still in the garage as they are having problems with something that has siezed on, Im guessing its the hub nut.

And from what I was told the person was using alot of swear-words while trying to get them off.

Got the car back today with its nice new, big shiney brakes. :D.

First time I pressed the pedal I nearly put myself through the front window. Really pleased with them. Tyres have been put on hold as I have been told I still have roughly 1000miles left in the ones still on the car so abit of money saving there.

Pics to follow soon.

I knew I would feel a difference, I just didnt expect it to be that BIG a difference.

Although I am certainly not complaining about them. :D.

Callipers will need to be repainted at some point as with age/use the paint is flaking and with removal/fitting. Was really careful when washing the car tonight but alittle more paint came off. But that isnt a big job to do.

Another Update.

Have had these sitting for at least a month.

PICT0353-1.jpg

So I thought it was about time I fitted them.

Before:

After:
PICT0355-1.jpg

Swapped the handle for the passenger door to the drivers while I was at it as the barrel and handle that were on the passenger side were better.

Really pleased how it turned out, only a little subtle change but it makes a different.

Next on the agenda is to fit my induction kit and catch tank.
