Well just had the 30k service done on the Altea and I thought that I would pluck up the courage to ask how much the 60k cambelt change would be on TDi Sport......

Get ready cause this is gonna hurt:headhurt:

£425 all in ..... then dont forget the 60k service ontop so assuming you dont need any other parts thats a cool £650!!!!!:censored:

This quote came from Seat Camberley Service Centre who are pretty competitive on the price front normally.... will be interested what other dealers will charge as realistically my 60k service is under a year and a half away!

Anyway Im starting saving as of now:)

:wtf: I hope your dealer is having a laugh! There is no way I will pay that when mine is due. Suggest you phone around for a few quotes, I have saved a fortune just calling 2 dealers in the past......

I think it's cheaper for us to come to NI, than to have it done here. I bought the car with it done, to escape the costs (previous owner paid about £850 for service and cambelt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Mind you,i had to fork out for new turbo  instead.

just had mine done on 2.0 tdi sport, about 300 + 100 for the service. i actually had the dsg oil done, and new discs and pads all round so it did add up to a hefty sum by the end. but all sorted for a few years hopefully
