33 (34 in July) and I have a FL Leon FR TDI. I've had it for 2.5 days and am very fast coming out of a bad relationship with a Zafira SRi CDTI.

Do I think I'm too old for this car now? Hell no... I'm still 21 inside :D

nahhhhhh i go out most wekends flying my nitro r/c helicopters, aswell as driving my re=mapped k1, the older you get, the more expensive toys you can have:p:funk:. the only numbers i am interested in, is the ones after BHP

Don't you mind the less power part of that lol?
Actually, not as much as I thought I would, judging by the few hours I had driving a loaned Ecomotive 1.6.
It's a different style of driving and probably more relaxing for my typical journeys: e.g. motorway cruising at lower revs, changing gear less often for speed bumps, more refined and comfortable ride quality, etc.
I'll definitely miss being able to floor it for the occasional 'spirited overtake' but I'm very happy to sacrifice some (rare) fun for 50% off my fuel/insurance costs and getting a free tax disc is the cherry-on-top really. :D

I guess that is the clever thing to do, it will save you a lot. What spec is the 1.6cr?

I've just turned 40 and have a 2.0 CR FR in Yellow, it's a company car and every one at work thinks i'm having some kind of mid life crisis.
It just a nice car - in a nice colour - they are the ones have a crisis !!
