+1 on the Carbon Fibre parts, I have a feeling they'd all sell extremely quickly!

On another note, I read your Redline feature a while back and it was an interesting read, car looked incredible in the pictures! :)

Nice pics from the Redline shoot mate, looking awesome as ever

Yes you are. I have found my spare handles so when i get a chance i will get onto making them.

That looks awesome, don't think i have seen a mk3 interior been done c/f yet

Cheers ;)

No way i am in the middle of doing this to my car gutted, thought i would be the 1st:cry:

I will be making a mould for the 'S' badge when i get a chance which saves laying the carbon onto the original. The door handles and dash/clocks take alot longer as the carbon is layed ontop and i need the bits off the cars to make them.

Well BDM went over to Snetterton on Weds for some track day fun and to run the DSG X-bow to see what needed improving and how it worked on track. I also brought the Ibiza along to take on track. I didnt get much time out as we were too busy looking after all the X-bows that turned up. Of the time i did get out the car performed flawlessly. I only ran 1.5 bar on the day as i wanted to save the tyres for the way home, but in a straight line it was the fastest thing there. I out dragged a Nissan GTR, all the X-bows, Lotus 2elevens, M3's, GT3 rs's etc. Lots of people were shocked at a little ibiza killing their cars on the straights.

It was fast on the corners, but way off the x-bows and lotus's on the sharper corners. It was fast on the longer corners where i could use 3rd, 4th and the diff to its potential. I wasnt massivly happy with the brakes. Way too much bias to the rear. Fine on the road, but hard to stop on the track from over 160 on the main straight. I had no fade or pedal drop so i was happy there.

Going out in the DSG x-bow on slicks was 'epic'. Not felt grip like it before. Still buzzing from that.

I have made the decision that the car needs to go. So its for sale. After working out realistic prices for selling the car in bits i think it will get broken. :(

Not sure if i mentioned earlier in the thread about gti fest at pod, but the car managed 12.5 at 126 mph which i was more than happy with. :)

its a shame to break it alex

any plans for a new car or are you staying with the diesel

I would much rather sell it as a whole car, but i would never get back what its worth that way.

The derv will be going back to standard then sold on once i have bought a new car. Its going to be an estate, but a fast estate with a TFSi lump...

Congrats on your 1/4 mile time and terminal speed, one very quick motor, all the best with the sale, and I also would be interested in the carbon interior grab handles. :)
