Hey guys,

After a long search for some after-market alloys, I found these.

Has anyone had an good/bad experiences with Dezent wheels? I believe these would fit, from the measurements given, but if I'm mistaken please tell me :p

Cheers

Excellent ;)

My dad (being a car nut...) keeps saying I should hold out to try and get a set of Cupra wheels, but I never see the style I want on sale T_T

Also Mazzerati, I see you have a Cupra backbox. What Cupra is that off? I've been offered a 54 reg Cupra backbox, and wanted to know if it'd actually be possible to fit to mine? Being a 1.2 and possibly having different exhaust pipe diameters?

I know Scott has a 1.2, but wasn't sure if he just has the tip, or the complete backbox?

Also, what does it sound like? ;)

Well it was off a 54 plate cupra lol! Win!
It will fit but you will need to buy a step down pipe. Get one off eBay!
And for the sound there is a video on my readers ride but it's got louder now as it's bedded in! Sound nice tbh not too loud.

Haha excellent!

Yeah, I tried to watch it, but didn't load for some reason? :S

What type of "step down pipe" do I need?

I've found this and this one.

I guess I'd take my car, cupra exhaust and the step down pipe to the garage and ask them to fit it?

To be fair the Cupra wheels are nice, However...
They are REALLY heavy (They appear alot heavier than my old FR 16's)

And they cost a small fortune. For 4 your looking at well over £550-600 new, maybe even more!

What do ya guys reckon? The Dezent's are like £479 or something "with premium" tyres. And I'd probably want to go for good tyres, which adds up to £560 in total...... Bad idea? :/

I'm guessing I should wait?

Haha well I just checked out Edition38 and they all seem to be collectable/show rims, a lot with ridiculous price tags (BBS LM's....2000 Euros...) and Wheel*****s seems to be very expensive or just not right for the Ibiza lol.

I know I'm picky, but I love the Cupra (5 twin spoke, not starfish)/Dezent style alloys!

Hah yeah, but it's a shame that there's never any on sale ;P

I'm just hoping some kind soul out there will take pity and donate an immaculate set to me.....

Wishful thinking I know, but a man can always dream! :D

I may just cope with my current ones.....I'm sure the fact that it's so high, makes my eyes think the alloys are ****... or are they just ****? Like these.....

Ughh, maybe not thennn. I only WISH I had over a grand to spend on alloys lol.

Hmm, I was thinking about anthracite, what do you reckon? And how would I do it...? Just get a referb company to do it, or DIY?

Haha don't we all! Just rub them down mask of the areas you want a different colour and spray away but as you don't have spare wheels you could get someone else to do em
