i've got the 1.6 manual in candy white with bodykit and extras. white is getting a bit common now though. don't be put of by the Lumina Orange, i drove past the local SEAT dealers last week and they had a Lumina Orange Cupra in, i was ready for swapping the keys, looked gorgeous!

The TSI ibizas have the paddles as standard. But in the 1.6 dsg paddles on the steering wheel are an extra.

I have a 1.6 SC Sport DSG (petrol 105bhp) which I brought last year August.

This does NOT have Paddle shift controls I.e the ones just behind the steering wheel, like you get on FR, Cupra and Boc. At the time this was not a optional extra, but not sure if it is now.

You can however shift gears via the DSG gear stick.

Use it mainly in Auto, however use S mode for town driving (it makes the car more responsive at slower speeds, standard Auto at slower speeds tends to put the car into a high gear too quickly) or when on the Motorway for swifter acceleration.

Use manual change to assist in slowing the car down when approaching roundabouts at speed (engine breaking) or when on B roads just for fun ;)

Guys, my sister has just purchased a 1.6 DSG with paddles. I have a mk2 Leon FR 2.0 TFSI with DSG. I can do launch control. Do you know if the 1.6 has this feature? Does it had the ESP thingy cause on mine you- (Left foot on brake, select sport/manual mode, turn off the traction control, plant your right foot then release left when ready)

Any similar feature on the 1.6? It's only so she can have some fun at the lights haha

Knight Rider, i wasn't aware of the launch control on the Fr/cupra's/bocs so i wouldn't imagine that there is on the 1.6 but i really hope i'm wrong!

havn't got mine yet though so not 100% sure, but the dealer never mentioned it

it's not standard, its only standard on the fr and above, not sure if it can be bought as an option though.

So how do you engage your launch control then?

Does anyone no if it is on the ibiza's?
