Hi Guys

I need to replace one of the reflective plastic panels on
the back of my 8v Gti,

But i`m a bit stuck,Does the central Seat "S" have a nut on
it from behind?

Also how do i remove the black trim with Ibiza written on it off the reflector? (is it just held on with
double sided tape?)

Cheers
Adrian

s badge just pops off, a butter knife will do the trick, and yep, the black trim is very sticky tape, i done mine when it was a warm day and sun was on it.

Theres a screw with a strange head on it if you look from underneath, think I had to drill mine out.

Yeah Thats the one,
Looks like a star drive,(but doesnt seem to be deep enough)
I was wondering if it had a nut behind it?

Ah yes i remember that bugger. Remove the boot trim and disconnect and unbolt the rear washer motor (watch out for water dripping when you remove water hose). You should now see the other end of the screw that is screwed in to a white plastic rivit.

To remove mine i just cut the white rivit to make it smaller using very sharp snips or cable cutter/vice grips. Once you have cut around the white rivit it should be small enough so that you can tap it out of the square hole by hitting the end of the screw with a small hammer and it will come out eventually.
