What tyres are they your running?

they're the new Toyo R1r's I believe...a shame they aren't produced in 215/40 17 :( they look mean and must be good enough for the road let alone excellent on the track :D

a tad expensive though, and doubt they'll last long :cartman:

If im not at the pod, will try and make it.

Yeah tyres are R1R's I get no wheelspin in the dry in 2nd gear. Price has gone up alot since I got mine, they started at 140 notes a tyre and are now 200 a tyre apparently. If they stay at that level I wont be replacing them for another set as thats too rich for my blood, especially if they only last 3000 miles or something like that.

Just an update.

Bits Ive collected over the past few weeks needing fitting.

Eibach Sportlines, Whiteline anti lift kit, THS torque mount, powerflex inner wishbone bush, oem revision D piston type DV, OEM Golf R32 Brake caliper clips, audi s3 intercooler and THS intercooler.

Will need to sell on the Audi S3 cooler, if anyones interested, I will let it go for a good price.

Will get some pics up of the gear once the THS arrives.

Did you rob a bank....... ;)

Ive contemplated it when I saw the lambo murcielago SV

Car will need diff, alloys, clutch, wmi, ARB's and then it will be done. I keep telling myself to stop spending on mods and save it for the TTRS but I cant help myself :)

Particularly as you won't be able to transfer anhy of these parts onto the 2.5 lump!

Yeah thats another thing, although should be able to make most of the money back as I would strip the mods off, unless someone really wanted it like it was.

I have one doubt in my mind with the TT though and that is space related, in the summer I usually do have a few mates in the car with me, not too sure how that would work in a TT. I also worry about whether I might regret selling the k1! Ideally I need a RS and keep the k1.

Alright Poverty, cars coming along nicely mate! When you fitting all the kit? I got my sportlines fitted mate, really improves the cars stance, and i have found cornering to be far more positive with no body roll. However if you lose it you lose it lol! As i learned last week back end shot out with no indication managed to correct her! But had to just about change my trousers in the process!! Hope all goes well mate. And tell me the befits of the WALK set up. How much did you pay for the walk bud?

I sat in the back, and at first I thought, this isnt to bad, im not tall mind you, but then I sat there for a further 5 mins and my head started to fight back my heart. Even the front is pretty cramped and didnt quite feel right either, I dont think im clausterphobic.

What do you have installed at the moment?

The diaphragm type liek you had till recently. I bought it to have ready as a spare for the day mine tears really, but might aswell fit it now.

I bought my walk from TFSI Mike, and he got his from a group buy, so I think I got it for a pretty tidy discount. Car is booked in for the 31st to get the kit fitted, might do the S3 intercooler myself though, not 100% decided yet.

No longer getting the THS, as I was messed about with it, long story which I dont want to get in to but im trying to find a replacement.

I'm liking the build and very interested in your progress.

Appreciate probably the best handling mod will be an aftermarket LSD but thats too expensive for me right now so would like your comments on the handling mods you have made so far as personally i'm not moving on to stage2 / 2+ until I can get more of my power to the tarmac rather than losing it through wheel spin & hop or just the car feeling unsteady (I know the ditch finder tyres I have at the moment contribute to some of this!)

What are your thoughts on;
Sportlines (assume just springs) ?
Whiteline ALK ?
THS Torque Mounts? (assume these are the ones you have - http://www.thsperformance.co.uk/product/Engine_Torque_Mount_%28Dog_Bone%29_THSFR3MK5-DB)
Powerflex Inner Wishbone bushes (assume you did front and rear?)?

Appreciate they all probably going on (or went on) together so difficult to tell in isolation.

Are you considering front/rear ARB's too?

Sorry for all the questions! - What HPFP did you go with in the end. I have read on these forums that the KMD and Autotech ones are either seizing or failing and that the APR one is the route to take but at 600 quid thats silly surely even if they are bullet proof on the BTCC cars with no reported faults!

Cheers
