hay i need some help badly arfter lowering my car i have manage 2chew my way thr about 5 gearboxes and its now do or die with the car, is there anything i can do apart from raising the car a fair bit?? please help...
not a hude amount im rining 17"and is 60cm front and 59cm rear ifi measurefrom the floor2the arch thru themiddle of the wheel and theres about 2 fingures worth of room between the wheet and the arch.....
would new bushes helpor isit got nothing 2 do with it being low??? btw my roadsare propper sh*t
wellbox number 1 and 2 but arfter that noi slow right down i the one that has just died was a reckon and set back a fari bitso didnt rag it or anything i was criusin at 50 in 4th and bang chrunchitsounded like crap and ididnt dare take her outa 2nd,it was making a god awful noise even when idealing?? its a 1.4 8v
Just chack to see that the flywheel bolts aint sheered, around the outside or slightly loose, could be the cause, one of them suckers comes loose or fals out its bad news!! Unlikely to happen twice in a row tho!! Fly wheels from most places mate,
Either can i mate, pretty impressive, im sitting lower then you front an back with 17 an my gearbox gets punished at Crail & Knock hill an touch wood, its holding up like a pro!!
i know its not gd my mates old mk2 golf was propper low on 16s and was fine ? its a 1.4 i change at about4k revs so it dont get punished at all apart from a few pot holes if i have 2 look where im goin lol
a local garge who my mum has used for years , i might get some 1 esle 2 have a look i cant understand y its crunching in ideal? or would that be wear the clutch has died?
na im not got the no how i could get it in gear and i drove i drove it its just it was grinding and crunching all the time and the garage said its the box
