Lol..yeah but if they are the real thing they should be easier to maintain than covers. Although if the covers are good quality from the dealers you never know, it could be the way to go.

Just tried the dealers with those part no's nothing came up. Not with the 13A, 14A, 15A & 16A. Oh well nevermind it was worth a try. Lol... might have a look on ebay again. It has got me thinking now about actual carbon fibre replacement parts, wonder how much is out there. I'm off to search SCN.. This could get expensive ..lol

Interesting D.K. I have quickly scanned through your build. Sorry didn't go through the full 70 pages..lol. I see you talk about carbon diped, what parts have you done..or direct me to the relevant page. Cheers. I have been thinking about the center consule trim etc. I have seen the 1.8t engine covers years ago when i use to get Golf+ magazine. Looked well cool.

Theres a link towards the end about the dipping, I'v not tried it or seen it in the flesh so I cant coment on how good or bad it is,
I'll post some pic's tomorrow of the bit's I'v done in real carbon, I have found though the flater simpler shape object's are a lot easier to wrap, this can also be a very expensive process.

Nice one, look forward to seeing what u have done. How durable is the finish on the real carbon? I imagine the cheeper vinyl stuff looks...lol..well just that cheep and too shiney? If it gets a light scratch just like a sticker would?

Darren, have you found that the fabric stuff lifts after a while, i bought the same stuff as you and it peeled back after a couple of days so i took it off, i have looked at the carbon stuff i PM'ed you about, but the pic posted by Turbo boy looks a lot better.

The only bit's that have peeled for me are the mirror's, all the badges and other bit's have been fine.
The real stuff is a lot better though. although it is a lot harder to work with

Does look pretty good those door trims. Considering doing mine in silver now to match the centre console. Hmmmmm...
