Hey Guys! Need a bit of advice, ive always wanted a Seat but i could never afford one but now i can afford a new car. I currently drive a 1.9 tdi orange punto, its costing me too much money and things keep breaking on it. So ive got it down to 2 cars here they are

1. Renault Clio GT 1.6 128bhp 3 Door
Options: - TomTom SatNav, Climate Control

2. Seat Ibiza SportCoupe 1.4 Sport
Options:-
Climate Control
Electric Folding Mirrors
Sunroof
Cradle For TomTom
Dark Tints
17' Alloys

Seat is Group 4 Insurance
Clio is Group 7 Insurance

Any Ideas?
Thanks and sorry for essay, Big deal for me buying a new car:D

too me would depend on how much both cost... and you should find out really how much your going to be paying on finance? im guessing your goin to finance it? see which 1 gives you better value for your money... i mean your getting the clio with sat nav... but how much extra is that costing you? as you can just buy a tomtom for the seat...

Another question is, what are you after performance wise. Obviously the clio has more power but with regards to aesthetics, I am sorry to say the IBIZA is on an entirely different level to the clio. It will all be down to you mate. I would suggest taking both for a decent test drive and getting a nice feel for the car and comparing the build quality. I can already tell you that the IBIZA will deliver and smash it out the park against the clio.

The 1.4 is 85PS and weighs exactly 1000kg so will be around 85PS per ton.
What does the clio weigh? I'm guessing it will be heavier with slightly more power.

In standard from the clio will probably handle better but the Ibiza has more toys and slightly better build quality.

If you've allready got a 1.9 Punto - I wouldnt go for the 1.4 petrol, it will feel a lot slower compared to what your used too, much better to go for the 1.6 TDI - it'll feel faster than the petrol and ha more potential tuning wise if you get bored of it.

Agree completely the 1.4 petrol will seem very slow. The other option is to wait for the launch of the 1.2 TSI as that is a great petrol engine.

Yes : wait for the 1,2 Tsi or get the FR so you wont need the Cupra in a few years because after chiptuning the cars are the same ...
