i think coilpacks are gone

hi all
2day the cupra started holding back and poping missing at around 5000rpm
so i thort maybe boost leak :shrug:
tested and checked all pipes . no joy
anyway my cupra has them cheap beru coilpacks in it so i think 1 of them is to blame
as its fine untill you put the engine under big load
plugs are fine
anyone think i maybe right:help:

what coilpacks will be the right 1s for mine engine code aqx i think
and it has 230bhp so was thinking maybe s3 coils or tt
or do you have to match numbers up
as my berus do not have a part number cheap copys yellow on the top of the coil no audi vw marks at all

Get the s3 coilpacks yeah. If you search you will find endless topics on this. Doesn't matter if you have different types but I would advice getting rid of all the crap ones.

It may also be your MAF sensor on its way out.

i did think that but i have cleaned it out with carb cleaner plus its only 1 year old
and made no odds
really do think its the coils or coil
were can i get some
seat dealer want 37each:cry: but i dont no if there push fit 1s or bolt forgot to ask him

They are fairly useless when you ask them if they are push down or not. Ask david from Sere motors, he can get them for you.

jump in it today and its fine :wtf: :-o
just a gess but in gloucestershire we seem to of run out of v-power fuel
so had to put some tesco 99 **** in it maybe its that
anyone else have no v-power fuel in there area:shrug:

that is interesting. mine starting playing up last night driving back from Bristol after putting some texaco fuel in it.
holding boost but anything over 12-15 psi (normally peaks at 20) and judders (feels like the traction control kicking in) so had to drive home very steadily.
I suspect it is coil pack from reading here but perhaps it was a sh*t batch of fuel?!

Will take a look at the coils over the weekend anyhow.

mine did the same mate go and mix the fuel
like i say is fine today holds 1.5bar

If converting to bolt-down S3 coils then read:

You need the coils, seals and bolts

have them already mate on the beru coils they are bolt down seem ok today mate
had some bad fuel from tesco

drained it out and got some new fuel all is good like i say bud there is no v-power anywere
i even rang shell they dont no when anyone will get some could be sometime yet not good[:@]

thats good news, only I filled the bloody thing up from pretty much empty with the crap!
I'll try and get some more in there and see if it helps.
