Yea, WD40 will do the job if you give it long enough to work.

The "shock and unlock" should do the job quicker though.

Not sure what FKs they are TBH... another cheapo ebay bargain I found! Will attack the adjusters next week. The Ibiza FR ride isn't the most comfy anyway, so not sure what to expect with these. Bought them mainly to get the arse down...

Non dampening adjustable and not stainless steel then they're Highsports.
Dampening adjustable and not stainless steel then they're Konigsports.
If they are stainless steel then I think they're called Silverlines

Will give it a go, not in any real rush. Was thinking about painting the springs and giving them a bit of a tidy-up. Not sure I want to free the adjusters yet anyway...

They must be Highsports then! The front dampers have a bit of surface rust (so I assume they are not stainless....) How much thread have you got below the adjusters at the front? How about the rear? I like your stance Altech.

I sprayed my front dampers with hammerite to prevent them from corroding. Iirc up front the adjuster sits 20mm from the bottom of the thread. The rears are wound right down with the adjuster still in place. I've now got my standard wheels fitted so had to raise the car 10mm all round

These are set about 10mm from the bottom of the thread. Might leave them in place TBH instead of moving them. Rear adjusters are all the way down so might just leave them too. These are sounder better by the minute... but the acid test will be fitting them to the car and after a few K of miles really!

You'd be best off freeing the adjusters whilst the coilovers are off the car. You may find after fitting them that your car sits too low. The adjusters will be a right pig to free due to the limited space when they're fitted.

Gooner, can I ask what Lowering springs you have on yours? They look a perfect height for what I want. Also, what is the bumpiness like compared to standard? Need to get mine lowered a little bit as the front is far too high compared to back. Many Thanks.

Lower it so it has a bit of a nose down stance. The springs are 30mm front/25mm rear I believe!

Well, decided to do another simple mod! Its very popular with the Leon boys so I thought I would do it to see if it makes any difference to the turbo/dv/induction noise. Really easy to do, the clips just popped out. Simples....

Don't think I'll be doing this to my derv powered beast, if anything adding extra sound deadening to mine would be better

Of course.... the weight saving!

The petrols aren't too noisy to be honest. My exhaust drowns out some of the noise, so I removed it to enable a little more turbo whistle and DV chirp to be heard. Haven't really noticed much of a difference at the moment.... but only drove around the estate so haven't booted it.

makes the bay look cleaner that mike,when or if you get a downpipe and sports cat your love the turbo spooling sound you hear it whistles loads at low and high revs.

HEKO wind deflectors

Fitted my Team HEKO wind deflectors this PM and took a couple of snaps. What are your thoughts folks? Took about 2mins to fit them and very impressed by the quality.
