What is this part on the turbo?

Can anyone tell me what the part is that I've circled in the attached picture? Is it separate from the turbo? Also what does the oil feed pipe that I take it I'd need to get if replacing a VNT17 turbo look like?

Ok, cool, so I can reuse the one I already have for that. Any ideas on the part number for the oil feed pipe? Anyone fitted a turbo themselves? This is on a Leon TDI 150

Thats the turbo outlet for the intake system, its where the charged air exits the turbo.

It's not part of the PD150 turbo though is it? I've seen one for sale and it's not got that on it....

That picture above looks like the correct turbo for a 150pd tdi and that is also a complete unit, if you have seen one without that bit it is not the right one for your car.

Also the part you are on about is where the turbo impellars are fitted and are not available seperatly unless you can buy an old one from a turbo specialists.

Nope, never seen one like that before but its certainly not for a leon 150tdi, it might be for an inline mounted engine from a vw or audi as it also has a hole for an EGT sensor.

He bought it for an upgrade for a passat - probably to fit to a 130pd tdi engine so the intake pipe will run differently to that of a leon which has a transverse mounted engine.
