Very nice addition, i did that to my Arosa. Looks and works much better than the standard one.

I do like this thread, one i always look on when i do attend here, your car is mint and you have some fantastic pictures! [B)]

Have you ever had any problems with your 1.2? Ive heard mixed reviews on here.

I've never had any issues with my 1.2, most of the people I've had an issue with their engines have 02/52/03/53 cars... From what I've read on here the engine had a few revisions in 2004, or sometime round about there, to address the problems with the timing chain slipping and the eating coil packs issue, mine is a 2005 and I've never ever had any issues with it at all, it runs pretty sweet! - And I think VW/Skoda/Seat still use the same blaock today in some of there cars, so it can't be that bad an engine. Thanks for the comments on the photos and stuff, I hope to get some more soon.

Panel filter give me about 0.25 more horsepower, taking it up to 64.25 altogether... The only place I've noticed a little difference when overtaking on the motorway - it picks up a little better than before and it has a nice throaty sound when you get up the rev range. Other than that I won't have to clean it till my millage gets to about 85k, (it's at 48k just now).
In the time between cleans I would have put 4 normal ones in, which I'm sure will cost more than the £40 it cost me for it so it saves money in the long rung. Nest week I'm going on holiday to Benalmadena, leaving from Manachester so this'll be the first time I've taken the car on such a long drive, should be about 480 miles round trip - might even see if I can do it in one tank....

There is nothing you can do to a 1.2 to get more power out of it unless you throw silly amounts of cash at it for very little gains. I say the panel filter is worth the money though as the money you would spend on replacement filters in the same time period is more than the cost of the K&N one. The engine does rev more freely with it in compared to the standard filter.

Tracking Issue

Noticed on Saturday that my front right tyre was bald on the inside, took the car to ATS Euromaster today and got the tracking done. All good now.
The car still pulls to the left as always!

IMAG0162.jpg

Fairly annoyed as these tyres are only 6 months old and where £50 each!
Going to the local scrap yard on Saturday to get a set of part worn tyres and I'll be swapping the tyres around as the ones at the back are still like new!

Mate, you should get some Toyo Proxes T1-Rs either this time or next

They're fantastic tyres, grip the road like a magnet, even in the rain. I'd recommend them. Got some pics and info on my ride thread

Best of all I got a set of 4 brand new for £198 delivered from camskill, what a bargain :D

Its up to you though bud

Just had a read of this thread; it's nice to see someone else out there with a pale blue Ibiza! I've just bought one, it's a 1.2 S 3dr. I've just bought some standard 15" SEAT alloys like yours has to replace the minging steelies and trims.

Could say your Ibiza is a bit of an inspiration for mine! ;)

I'll be posting some pictures as and when I hit 15 posts.

I think I'll try and get somehting like them next time. I'm absolutely stone broke this month so went for part worns last Saturday, £20 each side fitted. The two I wound up with are fine and if they get scrubbed in a couple of months then so what - they where cheap tyres... I'll wait and see how things go with these ones first.

Good to see someone else with this colour of car - I too thought it was rare until I went to Spain where there are more of them than any other colour on the road!

I bought them from another member on here who was selling them in the accesories sale section, they aren't available as far as I've seen on on UK internet sites... if they are then they're super expensive.
Search on German ebay for this item number:- 360242978191 They don't work out that expensive and can be simply glued in with modelling glue. Putting them in with modelling means they can simply be pulled off when you sell the car and the glue just comes off then like gum, leaving no evidence they where ever there.
And yes they just stick on the outside, only tricky part is getting the one on the rev counter the correct way round as it doesn't have little notch out of it for the trip reset switch.

Saw your car today parked outside the stv studios in glasgow. Your car looked very clean compared to mine! Was doing a quick turn around in the car park since you are not allowed to do a u turn to get onto the squinty bridge.

Yip that would be me - first space at the end, that's the first time I've taken the car to work all week. I managed to break my rear wheel on my bike by snapping 3 spokes, so until Wednesday it's back to using the car. It can be amusing watching people doing u - turns there, especially when the police sit across the junction in marked and un-marked cars and pull people over for it, there was one day last week they where there for about an hour and pulled over about 25 cars!
