Looking good mate, just the pancake section now :) Also i see you used the sfs connector to connect to the intercooler, did allards supply you with some??, if not, how would they expect you to connect to the intercooler?? Anyhow, the kit does look pretty well constructed (or the bollocks), certainly much better than SFS kit IMHO, if i had the 150, i would certainly get the allard kit ;)

Much much nicer than my old Halfords autogauge. Added benefits are this unit makes no vibrating/squeeky noises at all, better accuracy and the needle is very smooth and looks super sexy!!

:) :)

Allard Intercooler Pipes *Fixed*

Spoke to Allan about my problem getting the OEM turbo hose onto the Allard pancake pipe and it turns out the Allards pipe was made slightly wrong. Allan promised to send me another pipe out made to the correct spec. Fitted it all tonight and fits a dream now.

Thats much better Chris. I see your using stock Turbo Outlet..SFS pipe is good however has to be angled in such a way that it wont rub - which by the size of it is very difficult. I doubt you will notice a difference in performance anyway.

Hi Chris, why did you decide to go back and use the OEM turbo outlet house??? I'm guessing due to teh rubbing issue you had??? Have you noticed any difference in the performance between the two hoses??? I was gonna get the SFS kit as my OEM outlet pipe is a very bad fit intot eh turbo housing, I presume it is worn out?!?!? I've just ordered my allards kit and don't want to havce any hassles in fitting it!!! Also don't want to order the SFS hose if it's gonna cause problems for not noticeable increase in performance. I'll just get a new OEM one!!!!

I've not noticed any difference at all! Just a shame Allards made my pancake pipe wrong and I would of saved myself £60 with the SFS turbo pipe.

Yeh, the reasons I went back to OEM hose was because the SFS hose rubbed on the driveshaft. No matter how I angled the SFS hose I just couldnt get enough clearance from the driveshaft. Now maybe if the car isn't lowered the SFS hose would be ok?

I've seen no difference in power with the OEM vs SFS hose. So my advice would be to save yourself a big headache and buy a new OEM hose from the dealer or from a dealer on here to see if they can give you a discount. :)

is the new owner going to join scn - and how is the LCR search going?

did you get what you wanted for it?

Yeh I was offered a deal I couldn't resist. Sad to see it go but i'll be even happier going back to petrol.

The car has gone to a garage, the buyer will no doubt see the SCN stickers and will hopefuly sign up so I can see her again.

bloody hell that was quick mate. You done a superb ad and its obvious your car is in tip top condition.

Thanks mate, I wasn't expecting it to sell so quickly. but the garage instantly fell in love and knew straight away it had been looked after plus a TDI with 38k is very very sellable.

Just need to make my mind up with my LCR colour now.....Black or another Platinum Grey...
