taking it off on sunday to paint and fit a new dipstick any thing to look out for or oat else to replace while its off to save me going back

You could get new injector seals and change these at the same time.
Also if you do take this off you'll need a new gasket for refitting this.
You could clean your Throttle body at the same time and do a reset.
If you do you'll need a new gasket for this too.
Also before removing this make sure you clean throughly around this as when you remove this all the bits and piece will fall ontop of the pistons

I changed mine last month, as willie mentioned I changed injector seats and seals and cleaned and reset TB....seems pointless not to really.

Maybe a thermal spacer gasket instead of a standard one?

thanks willie ill remember that with the pistons and hoe do i reset the tb i ant got vag com or oat like that.also got some new vac pipe to go under the mani.

ant thought about changing the seals maybe worth it and how do i reset it thought you need vag com or sumthing like that.and i only got the standard gasket adam its from the stealers tho

The seals and the seats are about £2-2.50 each, mine were leaking as I could see petrol stains on the manifold.

You would need Vag-Com or some form of resetting it, I used a Snap-On Solus machine to do mine.

Yeah it did, you definatly need to reset it if your going to remove and clean it

Seats and seals came from TPS theres 2 seals per injector so 8 seals and 4 seats if your going to replace them to.

watch what your doing with the FPR pipe and DV pipe from underneath.
i snapped one of the lugs and had to weld the hole up.

right got the mani off and got new seals but is there a guide to fit the new injector seals got all 8 but only got 4 on the injects is there 2 seals per injector asap as refitting it 2moz

The 4 you can see are at the bottom, theres is another 4 at the top where they fit into the fuel rail.

Pull the horse shoe clip off each injector and pull them out of fuel rail, replace all 8 seals, push back in fuel rail then replace the 4 horse shoe clips.

Thats because the other 4 are on the other end inside the fuel rail?

Ha Ha, you did the same as me.
The metal clips push in to release the injector.
I didn't notice this till I refitted them................DOH!!!

You need to remove injectors from fuel rail.
