Not to low, While lowering does improve handling, once you go to low it has the opposite effect and your suspension bottoms out, this has been my experience anyway.

What coilovers did you get?

I lowered mine about 35mm to start with and it handled really well but looked a bit crap.

I then lowered it about 60mm and although it doesn't handle as well [still better than standard] it looks a lot better.

Guess it depends on what your looking for?

I don't really get you? its 60mm lower than standard hight.

I personally wouln't want to go any lower as the bottom arms sit at a nasty angle at 60mm

You'll also need uprated ARB if going lower than 40mm.

No problem mate I just didnt get what you were asking :cartman:

what wheels will you be running?

You could possible go really low with the whiteline ARB as it goes under the shafts so won't rub......might handle like a bag of crap tho.

ummm standards atm well the ones that come with the 1.6 model so about 15" i think will look unusual i think but different, when funds allow me i am hoping to get some merc amg 18" alloys as i like the euro look.
what do you think...

Well the good thing about coilovers is there adjustable so I'd personally go for a sensible drop with the 15's to help with the handling then re adjust it when you get some merc rims

Only thing with the 15's is the tyres might be close to the coilover, my 16's with bigger tyres were a lot closer than my 18's are.
