Changing my fr gearknob help

Hi all I have just bought myself a new FR gearknob as mine was slightly damaged.
Does anybody know how to remove the old gearknob or the gaiter console?
As I dont want to damage anything.
I have looked at the forums to find out but cant find anything listed for the mk2 fr

Carefully prise out the chrome bezel around the gaiter,cut the old oetiker clip off the old gear knob and pull upwards. refit using new clip.

Success I have managed to fit it and it looks as good as new.
