Thinking about getting a 2.0 tdi leon, just after any pro and cons really any common faults?
not really heard much about them going wrong
ill be getin a high mileage one so what should i be looking out for?
Do the turbo or engines suffer from any faults.

Thanks in advance

The main things to watch are, turbo wear, coolant issues (Cracked Radiator or Head Gasket) and clutch.. although that depends on how its been driven in its life.
All that said, these issues are rare. The 140 is a decent car and will outlive alot of others for the same price :)

Remap was by awesome so APR, to be fair i doubt its how the car is treated always warmed up before driving quickly and always leave it to idle so it has oil supply running when cooling down.

it seems to be blowing the seals in the turbo, making it really noisy and allowing it to suck oil through and burn it. Giving me nice plooms of blue smoke out the back!

Their view is that it wont be caused by the map as boost pressure isnt really increased that much, but i was also told that 140 turbos are crap and its not uncommon for them to go?

Also it could have not been fitted properly (by seat) or they could have missed bits off, gaskets, oil feed lines, oil filter or even not changed the oil.

But why would the original turbo go in the first place?

hmm well two have done the same thing on me now, really noisy and if left idling it will spin up and make a whirring noise thats quite audible.

thing is turbo no.2 has only been on since september so about 4,500 miles
