Best around south wales apparently.

Ive used Mototec before and they were "alright".
How much r they??
Cheaper them motortech? what would you say about this comment:ATS Euromaster on Hadfield rd did mine last year. They came recommended and did a good job - lazer alignment of all four wheels, plus adjustment.

The cost was £35 IIRC ''
Is that same type of service???

Cheers. I really need to decide

I think so. Got a print out showing before and after with Camber, Castor and Toe.

I had uneven tyre wear so replaced the front bushes with Cupra items. Got the alignment done at ATS and it's been fine since - tyre wear is even after 10k miles

so how much did u payed for whole service icnludin
g bushes change? Did u changed them at same place and how long does it take to do wheel and bushes? Thanks

No, got the bushes changed at a VAG specialist - Europerformance in Pontyclun.

The bushes are cheap - about £12. Got them fitted at the same time as a new ARB and CV boots, which came to about £250 I think.

For just the Cupra bushes, I guess it'd be about 2 hours labour plus parts - say £100 - £150. Phone up and get a quote mate.

As said, the alignment was about £35

That is simply not true, the front cross member can be moved across to equalise the camber and help centralise the front to the fixed rear. The caster is also adjustable by moving the mounting blocks around within what the hole clearances will allow. Also there is a small ammount of corrective movement possible by loosening the lower swivel mounting bolts. All of this correcting and not just checking will normally cost about £100+ as that will include an allowance for moving bits about to improve the alignment.

To the OP, one thing to consider before going down this route - change to Cupra TCA rear bushes then get it set up properly. Mostly the reason to resort to getting re-alignment done is either because of TCA rear bushes being changed or down to uneven front wheel (mostly) wear - that is where normal ride height has been roughly retained.

Ok, thanks for the info. I was informed nothing much was adjustable - and in my defense, I was refering to any 4-wheel alignment that you'd be offered from a garage - all of what you have mentioned would not be done unless like you say, you request and pay for it at a specialist. I've never found anyone down here that offers what you've mentioned, so it's certainly not widely dealt with.

But thanks for the info - if I have any issues I'll be sure to try and find someone who will do it!

Thanks
