Turbo whistle/spool?

well I took Greesha out for a spin last night after logging his car, and gave the car a good hammering in every gear, which has now caused a problem

upon putting your foot down in low gears, you can really hear the turbo spool and almost a whistle to it (as if its over spooling), with a loss of power

At first I thought it was the manifold goosed, but this is more of a blowing/tractor sound, and the same with a loose gasket as well, so I have ruled this out

I checked the connection onto the top of the turbo when I got back last night and this appeared to be fine. All connections on the TIP are also fine, but I am led to believe if it is a connection to the TIP i.e. the DV, if this is loose its more of a hissing sound.

I have not been able to check the connection of the TIP to the intake of the turbo yet (engine was a bit hot last night!)

performance of the car is currently down, feels slightly laggier and is not holding boost as well. You can definitely feel it tail off in 3rd, as with before it was pulling to the redline

boost leak, or turbo goosed?

I must be cursed, as something always goes wrong days before the AMD RR

Fuel consumption is also horrendous. I have just got 200 miles from 3/4 of a tank, when it should be hitting around 240 at least

something sure aint right....

have you checked all boost hoses? Might be worth vagcom scan?

have you got another N75 you can try?

Intercooler hoses often evade people when checking for boost leaks, however have a detrimental effect on performance. Have a look at your top hoses for any splits or alternately, is there any chance that any of thr lowere hose have come loose?

I run on an MBC. N75 is only electronically connected

the car is initially being checked over tonight and having a thorough check over on Thursday/Friday as those are my days off. Although hope I can sort it before then as those days were meant for cleaning and polishing her for Sun
