Anybody know of any good headlights( not chavy chrome tho)

Ive been lookin at the devil eye headlights with the audi stlye led strip underneath, i think they look pretty good but they are quite expensive and can only seem to find then in LHD ??


If anyones knows of any good ones let me know

this has been covered for many years now mate...there are no available angel/devil-eye or projector options available for the mk4 in the UK unfortunately

recently a member posted about the LED ones but, as you mentioned, not in RHD

EDIT: you can now find chrome Audi-style headlights

Ahh i see cheers anyway mate, so is there any way of modding the lights then, or just converting to HID ?

2 options (as you may have found):

- replacement Xenon bulbs (mine are Philips Bluevision, check my build thread for pics vvvvv)
- HID conversion (various types, but most go for 6000k from HIDs for u on ebay i think)

bulb replacement ~£18 (dipped beam with free sidelights)

HID 6k ~£30 + sidelights to match ~£5 (HID's are bumper off job really)

Not too bad then, ive had a look at your pics now and the lights do look good, a nice crisp white light , thats what u want, still not sure what to go for tho but as you said HID may require taking the bumper off so it would be easier :/ lol

I would be happy with headlights that didnt have condensation in them tbh, what a ****ing disgraceful design, that seat have made no attempt to correct. Disgusting.

Im in the process of trying to sort now... holes? silica gel... pfff or just sell and buy a Ford.

i hardly get condensation...really only after a jet wash

Couple of 5mm holes in each main light rear cover sorted it for me.

Problem is ive actually got droplets of water on the insides, so its not so much the mist thats bothering me.

Seat really should have sorted this, shows a lack of product care and development.

Mine got that bad too - thats what pushed me to try something to cure it. Couple of days after drilling and the droplets were gone - hardly see any mist at all now.

In my opinion if it's dry then I would remove the covers completely and drive around till the dropplets dissapear, once they have gone put the drilled covers back on. I only get slight misting now but only if it gets cold - they mist up a for a bit after I swicth them off.

yer...but i dunno, with all the chav's going around at the mo with their budget led strips

would have to see one in the flesh first to justify whether to get these as well

Yer it does bring down the overall "status" associated with the LED lights, much worse for an audi driver

Saw a 106 with LED strip surround on his numberplate, was like oooo dear..
