The dealer quoted me £38 to put it right on mine, saying that they'd have to take the arch liner out to get at it...erm no you dont!

I used Mikes pictures as a guide as to where to find it and clip it back together

Just did this job on our Ibiza - our 54 plate 1.2S doesn't have an airbox so it looks just like Mike's picture on the previous page without needing to remove anything.

The connector is underneath the ABS block though and there's no way of getting your hands under the ABS block. I managed to route the tube that goes into the bulkhead over the top of th ABS block and at the same time hold the tube from the washer bottle vertical so I could push them together. It was *extremely* difficult though and I couldn't see what I was doing at all - I couldn't get much force on the tubes and to snap them together and I'm sure it's just a matter of time before it pops again.

If there needed to be a connecter in that line then what a completely stupid place to put it!

Its worse on a TDi due to lack of space. Cost me £45 at the dealers last year to have the pipe reconnected in 3 places. :(

I don't know how it would be possible to reconnect it if there was less space - I couldn't get under the ABS block at all as it is.

If it goes again and get some tubing and connectors and reroute it so that it's more accessible.

Ours had popped out in the rear quarter panel too. Really odd that they go in multiple places - it has tons of anti-freeze and it's hard to imagine that the tube freezing would move enough for it to come apart. I suppose if the jet was frozen then it might pop off each connector as the pressure worked back to the motor - but that's a bit random.

One wierd thing on our car was the jet was pointing 180 degrees the wrong way. I was baffled for a moment until I realised that it just twisted around. Can't imagine how it got like that and it's normally covered.
