Hello,

My AP Calipers on my 05 Cupra are looking a little less red, more pink (faded).

Have anyone referb'd them? Recommendations on what to use and how etc?

How do I re do the seat sport text? What products to use and how long does it take?

hi i did a quick refurb on mine but i end up buying new ones because my brake nipple siezed in and they didnt even come out when trying to drill them out. the caliper end up cracking but all i did was use ajax to clean them then laquered them with high temp laquer. looked mint!! the seat sport sign sticks out and is metal so just a good scrub will be good enough. check my thread.

My AP are yellow :D

Mine too :D

I completely stripped the calipers down to component parts, and spent about a week painting them yellow, painting all the bolt heads and seat sport writing grey, and laquering and rebuilding them.

Now i give them a blast of wheel cleaner and the pressure washer and the dirt runs right off

Hamerite is not very good for calipers - you want proper brake caliper laquer that will take the heat and not be attacked by brake dust.

Thats realy not the case. The only time heat has ever affected calipers on any of my cars is when they've been seized. I use stadard 2k paint on all my calipers, have been to track days and done plenty of spirited road driving, and heat has never once been an issue

In theory, what you say is correct, but in practice its not

i used to spend ages cleaning my ap calipers but last year i decided to polish and wax my wheels at the same time i polished and used poorboys wheel sealent on my calipers it works a treat they have stayed red and are really easy to keep clean now.
i didnt think the sealent would last long with the heat but it seems to still be working pretty well.
