Which mk4 - petrol or diesel?

The best advice is take your time and dont rush it as there are plenty of mk4's out there.

What was the eco version was that not a 1.4 tdi. I dont know much about them or what they cost but they might be cheaper to insure. Then i nice set of rims

Sorry people, but i think i might be going down the petrol route! i have seen the one i want going to veiw it 2moz in day light. Not 100% that i will buy it yet tho!

Here's a laugh for you all, i did a insurance quote using "moneysupermarket.com" an the cheapest quote i got was around the 2500 mark, not to bad for a 2008 1.9tdi sportrider. I then scroll down the list to see the other quotes and "DONEDEAL" had quoted me a "21818" yes twenty one thousand english pounds!!!

Well i went to veiw the car this morning its very nice, had my rover valued at 600 managed to get 800 for it, so after he quoted me this i said "you have just sold that car" So Im now the owner of a seat ibiza 1.4 sport and i will be collecting it on the 16/02/10. Woop Woop!!

As above get some pictures up. be interested how it compares to your Rover I guess it will go about the same but recon it will corner better.

Once you have saved up some pennies get looking for a set of 17" s

Only 4 days till i get the the little beast!!!

Anyway already been shopping, managed to get a stubby ariel for £8.99 from ebay! Also been looking at the cupra splitter's not got one yet but i do think i will get one in the future.

Sadly i havent had a test drive as the company i have brought it off dont do test drives. So until i get the car on tuesday i couldnt tell you! But i honestly cant wait as soon as i sat in it and started it i just thought this is the one!!! i need this in my life!!!

There is absolutely no way i would buy a second hand car without test driving it. What sort of company is it that they do not offer test drives ?

What happens if you don't like how it drives ? - I like my Ibiza but my mate hates the way it drives. No fault of the car but he hates it.

i really hope this works out for ya bud, but serious, no test drive?? to get a feel for the car your buying you need to take it out on a test drive on the sort of run that it will be doing not just a 5min jaunt round the corner. A good test drive should last a minimum of 30mins.

When i bought my first car i had a short list of 4, clio, ibiza, fiesta, corsa, without driving them, i never would be been able to distinguish between them all?? If you dont drive it then you can only look at the cosmetic and ££ and that should not be the sole reason you buy a car.

Every car has a personality, some will fit you, some will not, kinda like the fairer sex

I do know that it is a gamble to buy a car without having a test drive. but it is a risk i have taken. I did sit in the car and i loved the driving postition, the car is self isnt any bigger than the rover i have now so parking it shouldnt be a problem! I will let you people know how i get on on Tuesday.

the clutch, gearbox, steering, tracking could all be broken and you won't have a clue until you've bought it, I can't believe they sell cars without test drives...

Yeah i know this but its under warrenty for three years so if anything does go wrong then its one phonecall and it will be fixed as long as i keep it serviced! Yeah i did start it exhaust sounded rattley so i requested they sort that as well as the cup holder not working and there also missing the rear view mirror!
