Hey,

What do you guys who have built in bluetooth think of it ?

A wished it had a control either on cd player or on the steering wheel to command your phone book, the voice activated is useless.

Its ok, nothing special tbh. Only got it because i ordered a stock car. Its handy when somebody calls you to be able to just answer it easily, but pretty useless at making calls.

at first i didnt like it! its brilliant to have when talking but i couldnt get a name stored in my phone book and if i did it didnt work due to the ammount of "4****" that were there! but once i found the right way of staying "store" its perfect.. no need for button controls :) i just wish it recieved my my phone book instead of putting them in! but never mind!! i love it :)

Yes I think it is also good, the only problem for me is that you can't connect 2 phones at once to it.

Yep, you gotta say the word "STORE" as "STUUUUUUUR" !!!! - it's weird!. But it all works fine now and gets the ID from the phone as to who you're ringing/or who's ringing you. Wish it was able to link to a Bluetooth Audio player though !!!!!!!!!!!!!, that way we wouldn't need the (costly) option of USB !

Does this mean that I'm not able to play music from my mobile phone through car speakers?

Hi there Hustle, you can play music from an mp3 player etc, but you need to plug it into the AUX IN socket (near the gearstick), and it does indeed come through the car speakers.

I was referring to the car radio not being able to pull in Bluetooth Audio (wirelessly) from a bluetooth mp3 player.

All the best,
Andy

Back from the dead
Certainly a system that is far from perfected.

My BT didn't like the commands

Four - (when dialling a number through voice activation) - always thought it was STAR

Cancel - Would do almost anything but

Dial number - Would do almost anything but

The BT drops out intermittently when I lose phone signal, and to top it all off, when I raised it as an issue at Audi they replaced the armrest (with the wrong one ), and I now have a footplate DTC error code and guess what... the voice commands don't work at all!!!

I miss my arguments with BT woman, but you'll be pleased to know it's the same issue right across the VAG car groups!

I read it somewhere (it might have been the manual, possibly??). But after a LOT of research i found out that it wasn't A2DP compatible, at least for my mk5 July 08 Ibiza Sport 1.6 radio !

Andy
