engine management came on tonight, car has lost powered, and just shudders

sounds like a coil pack mine did the same engine management light flashes an the car just dont want 2 who at all........

good idea mate, will try tht tomorrow, r coils hard to remove? i just let my bro do it,

they are easy to remove. pop engine cover off and then unplug the coil and using a long screw driver/ small pry bar lever them out. they will sort of pop off and then be free

my 3rd coil pack broke other day at 8am when i was going to first day at new job. had to leave car in car park broken for 8 hours. cost me £45 from AA but atleast it got sorted.

sounds exactly same as my problem mate

replaced today with one from scrappies, worked fine for 14 miles then popped again, back to square one. brother bought a brand new one for me from his work, so gonna try tht, im hoping this one doesnt end up going aswell

changed over fuel injectors and brand new coil, seems fine now, vagcom isnt reading any misfires....hopefully it was just a bad injector and maybe my fuel will be better now? after all it might have been overfueling

generally speaking when a injector is failing it under fuels not over fuels.

hmmm owell we shall c what happens, hope its fixed as i would rather have a working car with slight alcoholism problem (petrol) than have no car at all

it should be better on fuel and power with a new set of injectors as they will have the correct spray pattern si the engine will not have to work so hard because of fuel starvation
