Personally the arches look too....heavy on the eye with such big wheels for my taste.

I also believe the car sits higher compared to 17s...

However there are many exceptions...

ie this cupra of a mate looks stunning....

Yeah.

I was tempted to upgrade my cupra wheels too...

however there are no concavity face wheels on 17 inch...with max 8 inches...

+ those 18s have clearance probs with the arches + with my 6pot calipers i would need, spacers...and i dont want to install them on my car...so just another paint job on my cupra wheels will be my mini upgrade :(.

yep, i guess everyone is entitled to there own opinion, personally i love 18s on a FR or cupra, and soon as i get the money il either go for GTI or RS4 style ones with the polished steel look, but lowering the car on the standard 17s will come first. as long as the car is lowered right, with facelift bumpers and a LCR lip, it should look good :D

Those wheels look amazing that your friend has,
Why wont you use spacers? And 6pot?!

Lets just say i am biased by the rumors that the suspension is a bit stressed with spacers.

In general i just dont like these kind of solutions.

I preffer buying a wheel with the correct offset.

However my front brakes dont give me many options.

6 pot 330x32 yes.

I understand there not to everyones taste. But i think it will look totally different when it's lowered at the end off the month. I am going to try and lower it 40mm if the arches will allow me to do so properley. i.e without rubbing on the arches. Otherwise arch work it will be but to be honest i don't really want to roll the arches.
