What battery in 2 button key?

Hello,
My battery in my 2 button standard key is low i think, but im scared to open it and read what bettery it is incase it loses its memory, i only have one key so reprogramming out or manual is not possible, can someone help or should i just man up and take my key apart

Mine in my 2-button fixed key (non-flip) for my 2001 LC are 2x CR2016.

My key is a non-flip standard 2-button key and takes a single CR2032. It begins to look as though there are two types, and you have to take your key apart to find out which. 2xCR2016 will give 6V, one CR3032 3V but more energy capacity (longer between changes), so you have to replace like with like.

they are easy to take apart, just slide it apart with a small screw driver and then pull the bottom piece apart, if anything less than 3v's will require replacing
