Well after what seems months of waiting my shiny new Twintake arrived and duly fitted.
First impressions are all positive. Quality and finish seems excellent. Lovely sound inside the cabin, even better with the windows open. Car seems to respond well. Throttle response seems to be improved and the butt dyno thinks the top end is achieved a little quicker seeing as its getting twice as much air as before.

this was my initial choice of intake, but they didnt do it to fit my car and wernt interested trying to make one fit, so i went ITG instead.

have you logged MAF before if so it would be good to see how it compares to the new MAF output

I had an Evoms and that was too noisey. I got the Dbilas and it was too quiet. The Twintake is in between both. Can easily hear the wastegate working on full power changes - i like it a lot.:D

So you reckon a big improvment over the dbilas, guess we'll see on the 28th.

id expect there to be a marked increase over the dbilias with this, purely down to the shear amount of extra filter surface area.

Gonna see what the dyno gives me at the end of the month - its the one i use for monitoring my mods so i will see what i get.

dont want to sound like an arse, but exactly how is it getting twice as much air as before ?? you still only have the one pipe leading from both filters to the throttle body so in my eyes its still only able to drag in the same amount of air !! the only real way to increase the amount of air going into each cylinder would be to fit ITB's. but im not sure how easy it would be though !!

its gettting twice as much air as the stock intake is crap, but dont take the twice as much bit literally, what he means is its alot better.

I'm looking to get one of these or the BDM in the near future, i know on the BDM intake the piping is larger and the filter is probs the size of both the twintake little filters but i do like the idea of the closed system. Where exactly does the right hand filter get its cold air from? I know there is an airflow source coming in from the fog light area but it looks like the filter is in the wing?

Also get some drive by videos, that would be awsome

It look's amazing :) can't wait to get one fitted on mine! Btw different subject you should consider getting a VW battery cover, makes the appearance better I think.

There's a Golf from another forum that also had the twintake installed but it has GOLD wrapping around it aswell (tape) looks alright!
