Car Doesn't like early mornings

Hi Guys, i've had my Leon Cupra for a few months now and generally i'm really happy with it. It does however give me a few problems when starting up in the cold weather. It always needs heaps of revs to get it going which i don't like doing with the oil cold (someone told me it's not good for the valves especially with a turbo car) And ideas ? i know all cars work better in the warm but it seems particularly sensitive on my Cupra. It is due a servicing fairly soon so maybe that is it, i was just wondering if it is something everyone is experiencing during this ridiculously cold snap we are having.

Cheers

Great guide there wolvotin. Ive had my Leon for only two mth now, and yes, its plucky on start up in the cold mornings. Not had any of that for the last 6 years!! Have to blip the revs just over 2k to kick it in otherwise, when you think your pulling off, you just don't! Did it solve the prob? Without having a VAG com thingymebob that you have, to ppinpoint it, the cost of materials warrants changing just to eliminate it. One concern, do you have to have the fault code cleared as you did, to benefit from the new fitting? Will I be scratching my head wondering why its still plucky?

Yeh, I suppose a decent service might be be the first stage, seeing as i just bought it. I need to oil change asap, then service on the cards. I don't want to start a major debate here but quickly, what oil are you guys using? Ive read the forum chat re oil, so I know where to look for the extensive research, but oh was my mind boggled with it. It all depends on whos advice you want to take. Infact, i'm scared of posting this!!!!
