Hi my 06 fr tdi needs a front bearing but does a new one come complete with a hub or is it a bearing on it's own. Also how big a job would this be. Thanks in advance

Its a bolt on unit.

Not a massive job, caliper off, discs off, undo bottom ball joint and unbolt driveshaft.

Need a big M14 spline to undo the four bolts (get new bolts with the bearing).

Thanks for that so it's a complete unit are the bolts normally worn? Is m14 scoket just a normal spline or is it one like you need to adjust the door hinges (ie more points to it)

The bolts normally come out, they are quite shallow though so you need to be on straight or they will round off. Im pretty sure its an M14 (aka triple square) but if you buy the bearing kit first you can check.

Got the bearing kit today all bolts included, are you ment to replace both bearings on front if one goes as it says this on the box or will just doing the one side be ok?
