I think mine are finally showing the signs of warping, but they have been on the car from new for almost 30000 miles now.

Re djhorace post.........were/are they being replaced under warranty?? If no cant believe that Seat think that 30000 miles is acceptable for brake discs to warp/fail!!! I have owned my FR for almost 12 months and am slightly worried about this VAG group reputation for quality......I think its laughable.......my old Clio 182 (£15000 brand new not £20000) went 65000 miles/five years without ANY problems, and they are crappy cheap French rubbish apparently!!

I had to have my rear brake pads and discs changed on my car at M.O.T this year. Car has done 68,000 miles but since i am not the original owner i am unaware of whether or not they are the originals. The discs werent warped but apparently there were grooves in them!

I have a warped disc on the front however, at low speeds <5 mph i can hear it rubbing against the pad with a squeaking noise. Ill be changing them when it goes in for service in March. Again i dont know if they are the originals or not.

My car is in for new pads at the moment, but no noise from Audi as to the disks being shafted (fingers crossed). 34k miles off a set of front pads is more than I got off the LCR (19k)

Inside pad worn to metal, outer pad 80% worn, hence no ABS warning light :censored: Was only when I heard that unpleasant sound / smell I thought better take her in.

all depends 'how' and 'where' you use em, if i spent all day on the road doing 50k on a motorway a year you could see em lasting 3 years and 300k miles if you never touched em

whereas mine have only done 12k miles but over 5 years it's lack of use for them has killed em

in the past seen some new discs/pads not even last 200 miles and 24 hours on a trackday

end of the day warping can be caused by insufficent maintenance of the caliper sliders -

My company astra did 50k on the first set of pads, then at 80k I had new discs and pads. I'm now on 105k in 17 months.

I do prety much all motorway/duel carriageway work.

The only time I have ever warped a pair of discs was when I was younger I fitted a new set then mullered them thinking that, that would bed them in quicker. I warped the poop out of them, fitted yet another set and run them in gently that time.

had fronts replaced twice now ... and backs once .. thats in 2.8 years and about 85,000

I think braking from triple figures to a standstill (at the end of a runway ;) ) has worn them out quicker :D

Milton Keynes is a ****er for hot brakes FAR too many roundabouts.
Not had them warp yet ... though they have smoked quite often once parked up.
