Interesting comparison bar the massive pre turbine exhaust leak the golf was running, and the fact that it now sees 30 more g/s peak than it did on that day, now it has a new mani, and sees 1 bar 3-400rpm sooner and no longer has a rolercoaster timing curve.

I'd be more interested to se a comparison now mines at ful health.

Assuming that running apexi and external gate though, so controll should be better than n75 and internal gate.

just looking at the min have got bill to coin up

but how much are you after and how worn are they

I would consider the slicks = gearbox broken Liam as currently it can spin away some excess torque.. R888's or equivalent somewhere in between, but once it hooks up I guarantee at least 5th gear will go ping on these torque levels and delivery (unleashed)

aye your leaks would have hurt spool etc etc
interesting comparison none the less for me
2ltr would/should outperform the stock bore polo

apexi was not used, forge unos on the car, apexi I will now connect up

I'm sure you will come across the polo at a dyno day somewhere to compare.

Good stuff Bill.

Guessing it'll be more like the original 400hp target @ Ajec?

*Dyno Lottery*

Be great to get this car to Brunters to see what it can do.

Yes, as I said after the Ajec day, its on the money..
where remapped S3's make 230bhp and the polo made 386bhp, it was always >400bhp on a dyno which reads more realistically. even for a DD, those figures were low.
Its rapid, which was the brief.. and scarey to drive full chat. the scenery approaches and departs at one hell of a rate.

Superb work Bill, lots of experience gained there i bet working in the cramped engine bay.
What a car, I hope the driver is as good as the car.;)
Congratulations both.

Jabba honour their warranty on cracking for you?

and people rate cast over tubular because cast dont crack.. lol - yea right. :p

John did tel me it let go fulyl when he drove it.. drag stylee..
was cracked before tho so I am surprised, given the hassle to fit in situ you did'nt bin it for a new one, knowing it was already cracked.
You going back for an after run now its fixed?
You should break into the 5xx figures with the leak free manifold
:)

I wouldn't expect them to honour it bill after 50+ thousand miles, and having killed 5 turbos attached to that mani. If your tubular hasn't either cracked or warped a flange in 50K miles, I'll be stunned.
If the new one lasts as long it's no biggy.
The hastle of new downpipe, lines etc, new exhaust housing for turbo etc was too much for me to stomach after the full engine rebuild, so I replaced it with the same.
Fitting was no big deal. (stealth did it)

Also I know what I have works, and is faily reliable. More power is unnecessary, so running it lower boost, and safe is the way forward.

450+ in the polo must be a major joke. I know it's hardly useable in mine which is heavier, has wider tyres/track etc.

Good to say you can though.
