Techie, got to admire ur patients to take that out, I'd arm myself with hammer and crow bar and attack it. Hehe. Never had the patients for stuff like that, but I suppose when it's ur job and not urs, u do have to take the time.

Great pics mate, rather their car than mine. LOL

I would assume you need to remove the steering wheel in order to remove the dash. That means the nuts for the steering column to which the steering wheel is attached are behind said airbag and horn. Just a guess Generic but Techie would be able to confirm this.

I had to take the sterring wheel off to get the dash out, but as I need to move the car around popped it back on.

I've had 2 cars in that state before and both of them went back together and worked OK. Strangely enough they both had the same fault and were both owned by the same mate. A burst heater matrix due to lack of antifreeze in winter. One was a Volvo 360 and the other was a Vauxhall Carlton 2.0

LOL. So that explains the wheel back on the car. PHEW, thought I was gonna make a complete twat out of myself there hehehehehehehe. I don't think our workshop manager would left me alone on that and would have had the entire workshop making fun of me hehehehehhehehe
