i believe there is currently a recall on going for DSG equipped Golf GTi,s - not sure which year it affects though

Edit: Erm - there is a recall out for the Leon. R/2009/111. Link. Same dates but I had my mechatronics replaced under warranty mid 2009...

uff just checked my vin and its close but outside the ranges mentioned on VOSA website, I didn't get anything from Seat so I assume its ok. Even if, I don't think I'd do it because apparently you lose gear indicator when in D or S....

Hmm I think mine is in the range, it's certainly within the build period so I might as well check with SEAT...

I had an ongoing niggly problem with the FR 57 plate I had's dsg box...there was a fault sensor which made the ABS/traction control & tyre pressure lights come on at the same time and when this happened I sometimes struggled to get the car out of the gear it was in or it decided to jam in 4th for some reason. the garage kept saying there was nothing wrong with it and cleaned the sensors on 4 different occasions(not sure which ones exactly)but after a little while the same thing occurred. Great box undoubtedly, I was just unlucky with the problem I had.
