... my clutch is going to need doing soon/ish, so i want to start collecting parts as well as a clutch (reccomendations?), lightened flywheel and clutch bearings/oil seals, what else would you replace while the 'box is out? its jsut had an oil change and will have a new mount.

Forge do a 5-speed short shift kit for VAG 5-speed models now. Might be worth doing

The B&M short shift kit would be the one really, but dont think there cheap. Im running the FWD TT shifter its not bad and makes a bit of difference, still cant grumble for just over £20
