Washer jet gone crazy

After squirting the washer jets the other day the N/S one has developed a fault. It now sprays two lines of washer fluid.

I can only think that the frost has killed it or it may be blocked. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

Has anyone else had the same issue? I can remember years ago when I had a MKIV Golf I had a similar problem and just replaced the plastic jet.

Cheers

These jets are fan jets I think, this means that they have a little rotor inside them that makes the washer fluid sort of flick out at the windscreen rather than squirt.

I would apply some kitchen cleaner to the fan jet hole and see if that unblocks it.

Cheers Nath. I tried the old fashioned method this morning before I read your reply. The end result it worked and the jet is working as normal now.

It must have had some debris stuck in the nozzle/jet.
