that is the sort of results you woyld be lookin at a dyno dynamic rollers normally. the guys getting 320Hp upwards are on stage 2+ software, the guys belwo 300hp around the 280-290hp are stage 1 cars and the stage 2s are in between, have a flick through the later pages and you ll see the RR results for various stages of k04, to give you a better idea of a realistic target.

I question the fact that 'custom' remaps really make that much different to a general mass produced road car. If you have very specific mods such as WMI, big turbo conversions, then fair enough, but for the general staged stuff I don't think it makes a massive difference. Horses for courses I guess.

I agree with you to a point, but for instance Bluefin give you a generic map, that will not perform as well on some cars as it wil others as all engines have differnt characteristics and then there are differnt exhausts, intakes, intercoolers etc etc.

Where as a custom map even if it is generic such as revo/shark performance/Apr etc get loaded on and can then be tweaked to the individual car to make it work as efficiently as possible.

Back in the day when AmD were in Bicester (2003), they put a 'custom' map on my brand new LCR. Come rolling road day at Stealth it saw 255bhp against the Revo boys on 265-70bhp.

I agree, you can get some variance in car engines in the same car. My 2005 LCR felt quicker in standard trim that the 53 plate I had did (in std trim). Same engine, both 225's, and when taken to stage 2+ the 05 car was fantastic. Second car ran Revo, first car had a car specific custom AmD map (please note NOT the AmD that now exists in Surrey or Essex).

There is a lot in how a remap agent pitches their code. Revo often take longer to get their code out to market than some, but then I've found it to be very good when it arrives. I'm now on my 3rd car with Revo (I've used 3 other companies over the years), and I find that the others I've used seem to lack the punch that the Revo code offers. But it's more than that, its customer service, ongoing support and knowing they will be there in years to come to provide future support / business.

youve missed my point. im saying revo isnt a genetric map. Its custom to a degree due to the SPS and the differnt boosts/timing/fueling settings you can use for differnt cras and setups etc.

I've always seen Revo as a generic code base, where the user has the option to purchase up on stages, or buy an SPS and move safe parameter settings.

If you buy the basic product off the shelf and stay put, it is a generic upload, it's not custom to your cars specific parameters.

Part of the reason I have purchased ITG's CAI and similar uprated HPFP internals to Revo is because it made sense to replicate what has been used on their RT360. Therefore the map is as bespoke as it can be, without throwing it any unnecessary curveballs. I still have to do the DP/cats this summer.
