Resetting EPC warning light

Since fitting a new battery on my Arosa 1.0 16v the EPC warning light has come on and remains on. I remember having the same problem after purchasing the car 2 years ago and now assume that the battery had been disconnected before I purchased it. The dealer reset it but I don't know how. Is it possible to reset this warning without taking it to a Seat dealer, perhaps by the same means as the service reset procedure?

Are all your brake lights working ?, Same thing happened to mine, The car then went into limp mode after a few miles,Found the problem to be the brake light switch, Replaced this and two days later it came back on, Found the high level brake light to have a corroded connection that had rusted through, Disconnected this and have not had any further problems.
Just a thought.

As my post above, Check the brake lights, The brake light switch seems to be a common problem.
Not saying it is but worth a look when you get any problems, Also check the high level brake light for corrosion where the plug joins it.
EPC stands for electronic pedal control, This is why you don't have any control over the gas pedal when it comes on, Your symptoms were much the same as mine were, Stopping the car and then re-starting it after a few minutes is how I got home when it happened to me.

The switch is around £9-£10 from Euro car parts, Easy to do, Just obove the brake pedal, Twist it 90 degrees and remove and then unplug the wire, You need to do this first as I beleive there are two types of plug.
Not sure how much a dealers would charge.

my epc and management light comes on then goes off whenever it wants to. Doesnt stay on long but i think its something to do with me having an air induction kit on the car.
