Forge remaps!

Regards why not many have used Forge for a remap.. in my opinion i would say this would be due to them being quite late to the party and many people will use past performance and feedback from others to help select which remap to go for. - something that is very lacking with Forge remaps.

Its a kind of self forfilling circle, if there are lots of lots of threads for other remapers with people saying how great the car feels after using their software then people will go with that.
There are not many people willing to be the first or go against the flow.

However Forge are a good company and their customer service is usually spot on, im 99% sure they offer a money back guarantee on their maps, (ie they will remove it and refund if you are not happy).

If i had a car that needed mapping i would be seriously considering using Forge.

But for now there is a serious lack of feedback and rolling road results for Forge, as well as long term feedback.
Remapping is one of the first things people do to their cars and if you were newish to SCN and went looking for info on remaps you wont find much info for Forge and so im sure this is why they dont appear to have taken off like many would expect. (at least on SCN)

I agree with pretty much everything you just said mate - I was a little dubious at first as, like you said, there are few reviews for Forge, as not many have used them... although again, like you said, they seem to have a very good rep for customer service, (which was proven in my case as they opened up especially for me on new years eve!) and they DO offer a money back guarantee, so I thought why not give it a go? Again, like you said they have quite a rep in other areas of tuning, so why wouldnt their remaps stack up to their usual standards? and I have to say I am glad I chose them as Kev who did the map for me was a friendly bloke, knew his stuff and gave me a bit of an insight into the whole process (as I'm certainly no mechanic!)

Main reason I'm replying though is to clarify the moneyback guarantee incase anyone is umming and arring whether to use Forge or not!

Just round the corner.
I was going to have forge do mine, but deemed it too far. Surely there can be no guarantee of power figures. Too many variables, mines ment to be 210bhp, but had her RR'd twice and haven't broke 200bhp. She's got a CDA induction kit on as well.
