hi guys i need your advise and some info if possible, Im currently driving Mk4 ibiza fr 20vt remapped to approx 240bhp and due to the mileage im doing i feel a diesel would be better for me.

so yesterday i went to look at lumina orange 58plate fr tdi 170 with btcc kit, bluetooth, 18inch wheels and full leather interior, overall i really liked the car it drove very well aside the noisey engine on start up which when warm did quiet down.

Heres where i need your advise/info as i have never had a diesel engine

1. Heard alot of issues with DPF can someone clarify what the issues are and will a remap effect it?

2.Service costs, the car im looking at has done 16.5k miles so im assuming its due a service at 20k, whats the average cost for 20k service?

3. What sort of MPG should i be seeing around town. i do about 20mile trip to work which involves town and duel carriage ways.

I did rely to your other post, but never mind :)

Haha, I was looking at this car aswell, love the colour with the BTCC kit and the leather interior, only thing, it doesn't have heated seats :(

Remap you will be pushing over 200bhp with DPF and without DPF over 230bhp :)
Explained service costs in the other post I replied too.
MPG around town, I get about 38 but that will see a dramatic increase with a DPF removal :)

That car looks mint mate, if I were you, the deposit would be down today :D

Yes DPF can be deleted without too much trouble, its about £800 for the delete pipe, labour and remap, if you want a Milltek down pipe, it goes over £1000, but well worth it, I'll be getting it done this year :)

Nice car and colour Lumina orange has grown on me and the car looks really nice especially if you pwder coated the wheels black although the darker OEM ones look nice as well. How much do they want for it?

That car looks really nice, I think I had started looking at it,
I love the colour makes the car really stand out and the BTCC kit just tops it off.

GO for it

That price sounds high to me for a 58 car with that many miles.......but I do like the colour and leather is a bonus. Mine brand new (without kit or leather) only cost me a tiny amount more was 58 reg too!

Just had my 20K service from local main dealer and it was £240.
