Hello all. Ordered the Forge DV spacer on Xmas eve. should arrive tuesday...

Is it as easy to fit as undoing the 3 screws putting the spacer imbetween the standard DV and doingthe screws back up...

I have read a few threads but they seam to be changing the DV at the same time..

Thanks guys.

Its just arrived by parcel force... -2 outside but i want to fit it after tea..

Which way does it face when fitting? As it cone shaped does it face to the left or right??

Any installation pics would help massively..

Thanks all.

i took mine off last year and floged iton as it got quite embarassing when driving slow, with it whooshing like hell, but it did sound good when hammering it.

reference fitting it, its not a hard job, just real awkward to do the bolts etc.

@robby71

basically its a spacer that sits between the factory DV and has holes in it so that when you DV releases pressure, it vents it to atmosphere instead of recirculating it back into the turbo. No performance gains to be had, just a whoosh everytime you come off the accelerator. My ITG does it now, but with the added bonus of only doing it when i bury the throttle and is ok when tootling around slow.

be aware the guy i sold it to had the new Revision D diverter valve, and the spacerwouldnt fit it

Ah - cheaper than a ATA replacement :) I have a Baileys on my Focus ST and at low boost it chirps :( sounds ok at high boost though

Hi. Am going to be collecting my 58 plate Cupra K1 in 2 weeks time. I love the sound of a dv and am looking for a little advice on which to buy. Do I need a whole dump valve or will this spacer suffice? I don't want too loud a noise but enough to be heard outside. Also the flutter sound, can I get a straight answer. Is it achieved by getting an open end cone filter. Or is it down to a specific dv? Or is it a mix of both? Any help appreciated, thanks

all you need is a forge spacer, the spacer gets louder the more boost you run. With a open cone it does get louder asell

Jus re-read this and also a few other posts. I'm hearing a lot about the spacer not fitting because of a revision d piston or valve? Is there a way of knowing if I can fit it? It's a 58 plate k1

According to the JKM website, the upgraded version is compatible with the forge spacer, part no. FMDV14T. Here is the link

But probably I'm wrong? :shrug:

I was just wondering if you fitted the old FMDV14T for £43 and the upgraded FMDV14T for £45 ? Or just the upgraded one?
