Hi Peeps,

I have been a happy owner of an MK4 2.0 ibiza for the last few years (My first Seat) which has had some good times!

Anyhows big fan of Seats now and love the MK2 Leon 2005/2006ish which Im hoping to buy shortly. Just had a couple of questions which I hope someone may be able to help me with.

1. Anyone know where I can download a Seat Leon MK2 brochure. (Looking for early versions (55/56 plate)
2. I wouldn't mind getting one with the same kind of power as my ibiza as I love having that extra power to overtake someone. Is there a engine you perhaps recommend petrol or diesel. (seen the 1.6, 1.9tdi, 2.0tdi and 2.0 petrol)

Thanks in advance

Well it totally depends on how much you're happy spending. If you enjoy a bit of power then the 2.0 petrol is the way to go, plus it has excellent tuneability.
In FR guise they are between 10 and 11k for 56 plates.
The diesel FR by all accounts is great fun and will certainly do the job when overtaking, and then some. If you're happy with a higher mileage one then again they are around the 10k mark. Although the 140 will be cheaper and I believe remaps up to 170 anyway.

Sorry, not so familiar with the 1.6 petrol.

The leon is heavier than the beeza so you will want more power, but then again the 2.0 ibiza is only like 100hp or thereabouts arent they?

SEAT website will be your best bet, but you can always ask us what equipment is standard and which ones arent.

The mk4 Ibiza sport 2.0 petrol is 115bhp, personally I would steer you towards the 2.0TDI 140 sport or an FRTDI 170 if you can stretch to one.

Thanks for your comments peeps appreciate them. The current car is 119bhp and just under 10 seconds 0-60 would really like an FR but can't quiet afford it yet as well as the insurance for it.

I had been thinking of the 140bhp 2.0tdi sport model. which after the 2.0 litre petrol was the fastest in the range at the time. Having never owned a diesel and do travel about a bit think I can justify the diesel as is do get throught quiet a bit of petrol. Heard some people say the 2.0tdi 140 is quiet loud compared to others in the diesel market?

Only from the outside - depends if you sit out side a lot !!! inside it is quiet for a club car [FR]

Does anyone know if there is a copy of the Leon Brochure on the web for when MK2 model came out available to download as a pdf? between 2005-2007?
