Remapped Ibiza Economy?

What sort of mpg's is everyone getting on their remapped Ibizas?

Ive got a remapped FR 2007. Everthing else standard. Averaging 28-30ish. I know I am only travelling to work and back most of the time and by the time I get there the car hasnt even properly warmed up.

Think ive lost roughlt 5-6 mpg since the remap, which is nothing really compared to the return in performance but wanted to know what everyone else is getting.

Many Thanks in advance.

Nath.

guessing youre on a stage 2? Thats around the figures im getting on local running. Can still get into 40s on motorway work if im frugal. As you say tho, the power benefit is drastic.

Yeah that seems okay for a petrol!

Yeah the TDi is brilliant on fuel to be fair to it.

I often take my girlfriend to her mums near London from N Wales about a 450 mile round trip.

Usually get about 54/56 mpg and it's mainly all motorway averaging about 80mph - don't tell the police ;)

i must be doing something wrong then, since my remap ive been averaging 45+, on a motorway run im getting low to mid 50's whilst averaging about 65-70mph

I am actually just on stage one. All I have is a custom remap and some go faster seatcupra.net stickers!!

How come my mpgs are so low? Any ideas? Ive gone back to my custom remap specialist and he says the AFR air fuel ratio is fine. Sticking around 14:1 so I am told. This is the perfect figure apparently. On a motorway I only get around 34-35.

Will add that I oil service and filter every six months. Tried a fuel additive to clear out muck. Fuel filter?

The remapper is confident the ecu is only chucking in more petrol on heavy boost.

I just keep my right foot steady all the way and keep plenty of distance so there's no need to keep braking and wellying your right foot down to pick up the pace :) 55+ usually.
