Window Washer Jets/Nozzles and Tubes/Pipes

Hey everyone,

I've had my 52 plate Seat Leon for about 18 months now and as daft as it sounds, I have only just realised that there is a rear window washer because it has never worked...

I disconnected the tube from the motor under the bonnet and activated the washer and it shoots straight out of the disconnected pipe so the pump/motor is fine. This means that the pipe is blocked or there is a problem with the jet nozzle I presume. I blew (and sucked) down the pipe from the front of the car and got numerous mouthfalls of screenwash/water that was just sitting in the tube (lol) but it does feel/hear like partial blockage although I think some air was getting through.

Can anyone advise me how to access the tube from the rear end of the car, does it involve taking all that plastic housing out on the inside of the boot?? If I can access thus, I shall try cleaning the tube from that end. Any tips/online tutorials greatly appreciated.

If this doesn't work, could I fill the reservioir with hot water and some sort of cleaning detergent to try and flush the pipes? Can anyone advise on this?

Say none of this works, would this mean my jet/nozzle part is faulty? Would it be best to go to a Seat Dealership to get that sorted?

Also, one of my left hand front jet nozzles only trickles out and the other one shhots straight over the length of the car, lol. What's the problem likely to be? I'm not sure I can see or access the window washer tube for the left hand side of the windscreen under the bonnet, is it easy access and can I flush it through?

Cheers

well i had both joins at the back pop off, theres one in the boot but you have to remove all of the trim on the left hand side of the boot as you looking at it from the back and also in the tailgate but the trim is a complete a**e to take off!!

Okay, thanks mate. I shouldn't need any specialist tools should I, does it just unclip off?

they clip off but in this weather, i wouldnt attempt doing the tailgate as you might snap the plastic trim, with the carpet, from what i can remember you may have to remove the parcel shelf support and maybe the trim around the front of the boot, just the ususal screwdrivers really and maybe a few cable ties to sort out the problems
