well I get a knocking noise on gear changes which I believe is the gearbox mount under the air box so only want to replace that one mount.

How much do you think this mount would.

If you must replace one side only you'll need an OEM part to match the other side and even then the old one will be weaker than the new one because of wear etc. This could potentially lead to all sorts of problems with the drive train etc and I really would'nt recommend doing it.

Ye I know what you mean, it will put added stress on the engine mount if only one is upgraded. Going to try and source a cheap OEM one.

I started with the powerflex bush upgrade and hated it from day one. I had it off the car 3 times to check if it was torqued correctly and greased but it was still horrible when setting of at low revs.

I got the THS dogbone mount (full mount with bushes) for £45 and the difference is night and day. Drives like standard but no wheel hop at all.

The powerflex bushes were good when there was no other alternative but they've been left behind by INA and THS in my opinion.

were did you get one for £45 ?

I've just had the complete THS kit fitted this monday and I think it's 100% worth it, much more grip and just feels like its handling better. No wheel hop at all.

I am in the process of getting a set of THS mounts (again, cheers MJ). Cant wait, pay day cant come quick enough lol.

I fitted the Powerflex dogbone mount to my FR+, heard that the vibrations were bad but to be honest its ok. There is a little bit when pulling away or in the wrong gear but other than that its fine. The car feels more planted and quicker just with the dogbone, so cant wait to see what a full setup is like.

My Powerflex dogbone is currently in the classifieds, Im that eager to get the THS ones hahahahaha
