I have had the 17965 overboosting code for at least a year now.

Many of you will know or will have experienced the symptoms. Car pulls great plenty of power , then all of a sudden shoots to 5 psi/ limp mode.

I have replaced MAF and N75 and yesterday I disconnected all of my intercooler piping and reconnected using 2 hose clamps on every joint.

Went out tonight and drove for a while only for it to happen again and when I got home and checked it I yet again got 17965 flashing up.

Absolutely raging. Any help much appreciated as Id like to get this sorted once and for all

got mine from my mate is a hallman boost controller you cant get it from ebay no uk suppliers just over seas from the states i have the hallman PRO RX

the green modified he means is the temp sensor it`s known to fail so when you change it go for the green one not black

when you log you can see what boost you get and what the ecu request. if it`s over what ecu says then you will hit limp mode and get the fault code you have.have you never done some logs with the car??

I have no idea how I would reduce boost ?

Also , with a boost controller am I not just masking a problem ?

thats right but if the map
is to aggressive and hit limpe mode you can reduce boost with a boost controller.
best is to log the car and put the logs up here and let pepole se them to see if they are right.think you still have a leak some where
