Problem with my Alpine Headunit

Hi all,

I've had the same problem when fitting my Alpine iDA-X300 headunit to both my Mk2 Ibiza's.

It seems that I have no Perminent live going into the headunit, as every time i turn the ignition off it erases the presets that i have made, meaning i have to tune the bass, treble etc. each time i turn my car on.

Has anyone else had these problems with other units? And is there anywhere i can take a perminent live from in order to combat this?

normally you just swap over the red and yellow wires from the car mate

One is switched and one is permanent live. You end up with red going to yellow and vice versa. Pretty sure my alpine was the same on the Leon.
